After completing his first season with Rangers, Jefte describes the experience as nothing short of a dream.
The gifted left-back joined from Fluminense last summer, initially expected to serve as a backup to Ridvan Yilmaz. However, with the Turkish defender sidelined by recurring injuries, Jefte has featured prominently throughout the campaign.
While the 21-year-old still has room to grow—particularly on the defensive end—his talent is clear, and it’s already earned him links to a surprise move to Chelsea.
Nevertheless, the Brazilian is relishing his time at Ibrox, cherishing the journey even though he has yet to lift a trophy.
He remains committed to refining his game and embracing the valuable experiences of European competition.
Speaking to Globo in Brazil, Jefte said:
“Since I arrived, my focus has always been on learning and better understanding my role, figuring out how to contribute to the team.
“Looking back at the end of the season and seeing my progress is incredibly rewarding. I’ve grown into a more complete and knowledgeable player.
“The beginning of this year with Rangers has been amazing. It’s been a special time, even if we fell short of our ambition to reach finals and win silverware.
“Still, I’ve been really happy. Every day spent training and playing with my teammates has taught me so much.
“This whole experience feels like a dream—something I never thought I’d be living at such a young age.
“At just 21, I’ve already had the chance to play in European competitions against top teams. I’m truly grateful and proud of what I’ve accomplished so far.”
