During the international break, Celtic’s future transfer attempts were discussed, and Lennon Miller emerged as a player to keep an eye on.

The 18-year-old has made 18 appearances in all competitions this season, with four goals and three assists, continuing his incredible play for Motherwell.

As Lennon Miller’s contract at Fir Park draws to a close, it is not surprising that Celtic has entered the race for him given his ascent to prominence as one of the Scottish Premiership’s most promising talents.

As contenders begin vying for Miller’s signing, Celtic will have to pay £4 million to acquire him, according to sources from last week. Liverpool may potentially be involved, and Rangers are admirers.

Mark Guidi’s future in Scottish football has provided additional insight into a situation that is always changing.

Amid Celtic rumours, Mark Guidi reveals Lennon Miller’s most recent

While he expects the Scotland Under-21 international to end up at Celtic, Guidi stated on the Go Radio Football Show that he “100%” knows that Germany and Spain will be interested in Miller.

Italy does their research and now searches this market, so I’m sure they’re interested,” he said. I have no doubt that Germany, Spain, and the obvious south are interested.

“There is no question in my mind that Celtic and Rangers will have expressed interest. He’s hot for Motherwell and might get hotter, but you have to be careful not to take a chance with his 18-month contract. I have a feeling he’ll finish up at Celtic; I think he’s going to move in January, and I think he’ll be sold in January.

“Motherwell must accept a concrete promise of £3 million to £3.5 million, with the possibility of a few million in add-ons here and there. Celtic can afford that kind of charge all day long, so they must. Longer term, I believe that £3 million to £3.5 million with add-ons would be a great deal to get someone like Lennon Miller the way he now looks.

As of right now, I believe he will end up at Celtic because, as I stated on Thursday night, he will have four or five excellent options in January.

Celtic’s long-term goals would align with Lennon Miller.

It would be difficult to see Miller facing someone like Callum McGregor or Reo Hatate at Celtic in the near future, but the Bhoys must adopt an optimistic outlook.

Despite his outstanding performances this season, the club captain isn’t getting any younger, and a transfer move in the other way might happen later on.

Having the next star ready-made and in position to step in has to be the objective for Celtic, and Miller certainly fits that category with the added bonus of being a homegrown talent.

Supporters should keep an eye on his condition because speculation about his next move will only intensify over the coming months.
