Officials at Tynecastle are looking for Steven Naismith’s long-term replacement.

His resume includes victories in the Champions League and Europa League, titles in Sweden and Norway, and three years as manager of the Norwegian national team from 2013 to 2016.

More recently, in 2022, he led Hacken to its first-ever Swedish league championship, and in 2023, they won the Swedish Cup. by that, he led Hacken into the 2023 Europa League group stage by eliminating Aberdeen in the play-off round with a 5-3 overall score.

In Scandinavia, Hogmo is well-known for being an attack-oriented coach who prefers a 4-3-3 formation with a lot of pressure applied. Hearts are aware that after leaving Urawa Red Diamonds in August, he would desire to try playing British football. He greatly admires the passionate ambiance of Scotland, and his background meets their requirements in many aspects.

Officials at Tynecastle are looking for a leader with expertise who can fit in with the Scottish football scene. They fired Naismith over two weeks ago, and since then, they have been interviewing candidates. The Hearts board is collaborating with Jamestown Analytics to find potential new management.

Directors have narrowed down their initial list of eight names to a select few in order to make a final judgement about who will be the man in the dugout next. The past three games against Ross County, Dinamo Minsk, and Aberdeen were managed by Liam Fox, who is presently serving as an interim manager.

When Hearts visit Tynecastle to play St Mirren a week from now, they would like a new appointment set in place. In the event that talks take a long time, they are willing to wait longer.
