Rangers announced what is reportedly the largest back-of-shirt agreement in the club’s history, continuing their commercial progress.
The club has a 45 percent larger deal than any other in its history with Guavapay, a worldwide fintech business that provides consumers with a streamlined way to spend and manage money.
The business will become the official Ibrox payment partner and will be the brand of the terminals used for purchases across the stadium as part of what is referred to as a “multi-year agreement.”
During Saturday’s game against Dundee United, the first-team shirts will include the logo of its payments platform app, MyGuava, on the lower back for the first time.
“We are thrilled to announce Guavapay as our new official lower back-of-shirt partner,” said Karim Virani, chief commercial officer for the Rangers.
“As a global company using cutting-edge technology to revolutionise traditional markets, Guavapay closely reflects the values and goals of Rangers Football Club.
Their focus to using technology to improve experiences is in line with our own goal of making every part of our supporters’ trip better. We anticipate a dynamic partnership in the years to come and are thrilled about the prospects this alliance offers.”
