Regarding Alexandro Bernabei and his prospects of rejoining Celtic, Brendan Rodgers has been questioned.

This season, the Hoops have not been able to find the Argentinean defender.

Bernabei has made an impression in Brazil since joining Internacional on loan earlier this year.

He has made 21 appearances for the Porto Alegre team in all competitions, with four assists and three goals.

Due to his performance, many Brazilian clubs are interested in making a permanent move for the 24-year-old.

Should Internacional decide against it, clubs like Corinthians were among those seeking to reach an agreement for £8 million.

While first pick Greg Taylor continues to set the standard, Celtics have been impressed with Alex Valle’s performance since he joined on loan from Barcelona.

According to Brendan Rodgers, Celtic will “look and see” in January about Bernabei’s future.

However, Rodgers was candid with his response when a member of the media questioned him this afternoon about the forgotten Berna.

The manager conceded that players are occasionally better suited to one culture than another and acknowledged the left-back’s tenure at his current club.

The Northern Irishman did not disclose whether the stopper would get another chance in Glasgow when asked.

Bernabei’s loan at Internacional has “performed well.”

“It’s fantastic that he’s gone and done well; sometimes you just discover that.”

“I believe he had been here for a while, but it hadn’t worked out as likely as he or the club would have wanted. Sometimes that happens, and you leave, return to a different culture or way of life, and obviously return to South America for him. From what I’ve heard, he’s done well.”

However, that is the only thing that can be added. After he completes his term there, we’ll examine the situation and determine its current state in January.
