In a long-awaited move that has sent waves of excitement across Nigeria, the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially released the shortlist of successful candidates for its 2025 recruitment exercise and announced the date for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) across all paramilitary agencies.
According to the latest statement from the Board, candidates who applied for positions in the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) can now check their names online through the CDCFIB official portal.
🔍 How to Check the CDCFIB Shortlist
To verify your application status, visit www.cdcfib.career and log in using your registered email and application number. Successful candidates will see a congratulatory message along with details of their CBT examination date, venue, and batch.
The Board also warned applicants to avoid fraudulent websites or fake agents claiming to offer assistance for a fee. All communications, according to CDCFIB, will be conducted strictly through the official portal and verified social media channels.
🗓️ Official CBT Examination Date
The nationwide CBT examination is set to commence from Saturday, November 16th, 2025, across all states and the Federal Capital Territory. The Board confirmed that the test will be conducted in collaboration with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), ensuring transparency and uniformity in the process.
Only shortlisted candidates who received an official invitation email or SMS from CDCFIB will be allowed to participate in the test. Candidates are therefore advised to check their emails, print their invitation slips, and arrive at their centers early with a valid means of identification.
📋 What to Bring to the CBT Center
Applicants are required to come with:
Original and photocopy of a valid ID card (National ID, Voter’s Card, or Driver’s License)
Printed CDCFIB invitation slip
Face mask and writing materials
Electronic gadgets, bags, and mobile phones will not be allowed into the examination venue.
⚠️ Important Notice
The CDCFIB reiterated that recruitment into any paramilitary agency is completely free of charge. Anyone caught soliciting money under the guise of “processing” or “slot securing” will face legal consequences.
The Board’s spokesperson further noted that the final selection list for training and documentation will be released after the CBT and physical screening exercises, which are scheduled for early December.
