During the January transfer window, Rangers may make some moves.
It has been predicted that Rangers will outbid Crystal Palace for a January transfer acquisition.
The Light Blues are currently having a difficult time on the pitch at home, trailing Premiership leaders Celtic by 11 points and Aberdeen by an entire eight points in second place. In an attempt to get things moving, manager Philippe Clement may need to bring in reinforcements in January.
With only six months remaining on his contract, Kwame Poku, a forward for Peterborough United, has been linked to Rangers, according to former goalie Paul Robinson. If a new contract cannot be arranged, that may make him available for pre-contract negotiations or at a discounted rate.
Robinson, a former Blackburn and Tottenham goalie, believes that Crystal Palace will seek teams outside of Poku’s category because they are at the bottom of the English Premier League standings.
This opens the way for Rangers to enter and attack. “They’re linked to good young players, but they’re not January signings,” he told Football Insider.
Palace will not spend X sum of money on Poku to score 10–15 goals before the conclusion of the season if they are struggling and in the bottom three.
He’s a player who might need some time to adjust; his influence won’t be felt right away. The players in question are between the ages of 20 and 23; you don’t want to include them in a relegation fight. For guys that age and level of expertise, it’s a tremendous ask.
