As the joyous winter season begins, the sun is smiling over Celtic.

Since there hasn’t been anything to complain about this season, you can’t have too many complaints about what Brendan Rodgers is delivering.

Celtic has a League Cup final to look forward to, is dominating the Premiership, and is winning the Champions League.

The same cannot be said for Rangers, as their play is dreary and sleepwalking even when they are winning, as they did this past weekend against St Johnstone thanks to an own goal.

Although many have questioned Philippe Clement’s employment, it appears that he will be leading the team against Celtic in the December 15 Hampden final.

Gordon Dalziel voiced his frustration with some of the Rangers media team’s activities as the game draws nearer, saying they “just don’t happen at Celtic Park.” Rangers media are criticised by Gordon Dalziel for publishing unfavourable statistics that “doesn’t happen” at Celtic.

Rangers fans are wondering why the team hasn’t scored from a set play this season. Dalziel revealed that the Rangers media team has been “releasing statistics” such as that one in recent weeks, and he told Open Goal that it demonstrates the manager’s lack of leadership because he should not permit it to occur.

He said that the champions wouldn’t act in such a way if they were in that embarrassing circumstance, and Celtic wouldn’t do it to Rodgers. Dalziel questioned, “Do you think he (Clement) has full control of the club?” “I will explain to you why I am saying this. Imagine being a Rangers manager and seeing statistics like “we haven’t scored a goal from a set-play this season” published by the Rangers media.

“I apologise, but it is not possible at Celtic Park. They will never treat Brendan Rodgers that way. You can tell if you are a good manager and leader by bringing them into your office and telling them, “Listen, that doesn’t go out.” That isn’t released by your own club. I apologise, but you don’t do that.

In terms of potentially going undefeated, Celtic is trying to distance themselves from Aberdeen and Rangers. Rodgers is once again controlling Scottish football and is poised to win another championship. With a game remaining, Celtic leads Rangers by 11 points and is four points ahead of Aberdeen in second place after crushing Ross County over the weekend.

However, this is the opportunity to distance yourself and make the situation even more unpleasant for those who are finding it difficult to challenge.

With a game in hand, Celtic may lead by seven points or more by Christmas when they play Aberdeen on Wednesday. With Celtic’s match against Rangers at Ibrox also approaching, that would be the champions’ paradise.
