Yang Hyun-jun once again impressed with an energetic substitute appearance during Celtic’s 3-0 victory over Hibernian. Introduced in the second half, the South Korean winger brought pace, intensity, and a direct approach to Brendan Rodgers’ attack, underscoring the manager’s trust in his ability to impact games from the bench.

There is a growing sense that Yang is on the verge of a significant breakthrough with Celtic. Although he has yet to score this season, his performances are steadily improving, and finding the net could be the catalyst to unlock his full potential.

Rodgers clearly recognizes Yang’s talent, as demonstrated by the consistent opportunities he has been given. The winger’s speed, confidence in taking on defenders, and creativity make him a formidable presence in wide areas.

Against Hibernian, Yang frequently troubled his marker, creating space and opportunities with his fearless and direct play. His close control and quick footwork caused numerous problems for the opposition, injecting fresh energy into Celtic’s attack in the game’s latter stages.

However, Yang’s end product remains a work in progress. Whether it’s refining his finishing or delivering precise crosses, improving these aspects will be key to his development. Rodgers and his coaching staff are likely to focus on sharpening his decision-making in critical moments, helping him take the next step in his promising career.
