Cerny has been described as “huge” for Rangers as the Czech international hits his stride at Ibrox following a summer move.
After a slow start in Glasgow, the on-loan Wolfsburg winger has turned his form around, tallying nine goals and five assists in 22 appearances across all competitions this season. His standout performances have come in the Europa League, where he has contributed to five goals in as many matches, helping Philippe Clement’s side secure victories over Malmo, FCSB, and Nice. The 27-year-old also shone in Rangers’ 3-0 win against Ross County on Saturday.
Former Scotland striker Kris Boyd praised Cerny on Sky Sports, emphasizing his importance to the team: “Sometimes you wonder where Rangers would be without him. It hasn’t been the best season for Rangers overall, but his impact on the team has been immense.”
