Tam McManus has heaped praise on John Souttar’s performance in Rangers’ 3-0 victory over Ross County on Sunday.
The former Hibernian striker was thoroughly impressed by Souttar’s display in the December 8 win, as well as his consistent performances throughout the season. The 28-year-old has started 14 league matches this term and has been a key figure in Philippe Clement’s side.
Speaking to PLZ Soccer on December 9, McManus said: “I thought Souttar was excellent. I think he’s having a great season at Rangers. I think he was very, very solid.”
Souttar has elevated his game to new heights at Ibrox this season, delighting both the fans and the coaching staff. His strong showing against Ross County exemplified his recent form, showcasing his reliability and composure at the back.
The Scottish defender’s improved fitness has also been a significant boost for Rangers. After struggling with injuries in the past, Souttar has become a dependable presence, providing much-needed stability in the team’s defensive line.
This consistency has not only strengthened Rangers’ defence but also instilled greater confidence within the squad. With Souttar continuing to excel and remain fit, the team appears to have a solid foundation to build upon in the months ahead.
