Neraysho Kasanwirjo, a Netherlands U21 international, hasn’t been seen by many Rangers supporters since joining on loan from Feyenoord in the summer.

The Ibrox supporters, however, are rather pleased with the versatile 22-year-old defender’s calm, technical, and athletic performances.

Rangers supporters now get the opportunity to witness Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s abilities on international duty, and the defender was instrumental in the young Dutch team’s victory over Sweden.

The Netherlands U21s’ Neraysho Kasanwirjo is outstanding.

Known to his teammates as Nana, Neraysho Kasanwirjo started for the Netherlands U21 in their match against Sweden in the European Championship qualifying round.

The adaptable defender made a strong argument for greater playing time at Ibrox by starting at left-back, the same position Nana started against Malmo in Sweden.

Emanuel Emegha nodded the Dutch ahead in the second minute after Kasanwirjo made a dramatic impact with a beautiful deep cross into the box.

The large Rangers defender was back at it fifteen minutes later.

This time, Kasanwirjo hit a cross with his left foot that sailed past everyone in the box and landed precisely on Rav van den Berg’s foot.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo’s double assist served as the cornerstone of the Netherlands’ eventual 3-0 triumph, which was completed by an own goal from Noah Ellie.

The outcome also indicates that the Netherlands has won ten of their ten games in Euro U21 qualifying, making them the clear favourites to win the tournament in Slovakia.

The Feyenoord loanee is silent about Rangers’ future.

Rangers supporters will be hoping to see more of Neraysho Kasanwirjo this season after his outstanding performance with the Netherlands U21s.

As Philippe Clement rebuilds the Ibrox team, Rangers will consider a longer-term contract for the Feyenoord loanee, who is currently on a season-long loan with a buyout option.

Speaking about the Rangers boss when he joins the team full-time, Kasanwirjo praised Clement’s “direct” style of play while considering a “flawless” qualifying campaign.

When asked if he will be joining De Kuip again for the upcoming season, the Dutch defender was equally in no mood to divulge any information.

Voetbal Primuer cited Kasanwirjo as saying, “I was well received in Scotland.” “I need the coach to be very direct with me.”

“Next year, Feyenoord? Who knows?
