Manchester City are said to be considering a move for former Celtic player Jeremie Frimpong, who is also attracting interest from Liverpool. Frimpong, who joined Celtic in 2019 after leaving City, departed for Bayer Leverkusen 18 months later and has since become one of the top attacking full-backs in the game. Celtic are set to receive a portion of the transfer fee if he is sold.
Christian Falk, Head of Football at Bild Group, reports that Frimpong is “on the shortlist” for Liverpool as their interest intensifies. Additionally, it is said that the Dutch international’s agent was invited by Liverpool to attend the game against Leverkusen and was seated in the director’s box.
