Journalist Alan Galindo has come under fire from the Rangers blog Four Lads Had a Dream for his piece about Leon Balogun’s remarks on a podcast.

In an interview with the Counter Attack Podcast on January 20, the Gers centre-back called some of the supporters “extremely disrespectful” for how they treated Cyriel Dessers.

Galindo then shared this on the Daily Record, which podcast host Bobby Nwanze criticised on X (January 21).

“Can your reporters do their own work?” he asked. will get to work on our task even though they don’t want us in the room. In fact, Leon stated, “Critics are welcome as long as they don’t go too far.”

“Alan [Galindo], do the right thing and credit the lads as well as sort out the comments,” came the Four Lads’ response.

Four Lads criticise a journalist for remarks regarding Rangers star Leon Balogun.

The 36-year-old’s support of his Ibrox teammate, who has had a difficult season to put it mildly, was undoubtedly encouraging.

Even though the Nigerian striker has scored seven league goals this season, the Light Blues supporters are frustrated by the sheer volume of opportunities he has missed.

The 30-year-old could be among the best strikers in recent memory in Govan if he possessed that clinical edge, if he isn’t already.

Having said that, Dessers has been subjected to a lot of abuse from the Ibrox fans, and his teammates have now had enough.

It’s reasonable for Balogun to defend his fellow Rangers and Nigerian star by arguing that the criticism has gotten out of hand.

It is not surprising that Four Lads have reached out to criticise what has been stated because the Daily Record and Galindo have misinterpreted this.
