The 23-year-old was sent off by Nick Walsh which left Light Blues boss Philippe Clement seething

Mohamed Diomande has WON his Rangers red card appeal and will be clear to face Ross County this Saturday.

The Light Blues brought their case to a fast track tribunal alleging wrongful dismissal after the Ivorian midfielder was sent packing by referee Nick Walsh in the final minutes of Sunday’s 3-1 Scottish Premiership triumph against Dundee United at Tannadice. The man in the middle was directed by VAR to the monitor to review his decision to dismiss Diomande after the midfielder raised his hand to United’s Kevin Holt, albeit the contact seemed slight if not non-existent.

Gers boss Philippe Clement announced immediately after the game that they would be appealing the decision – and guaranteed they would win it. And Clement was correct as they were successful in their bid to get the red card overturned with the dismissal revoked with immediate effect. As a result, the 23-year-old will be eligible for Sunday’s match against County.
