Manchester United Urged to Replace Onana with Leicester’s Mads Hermansen
Manchester United have been advised to pursue Leicester City’s No.1, Mads Hermansen, as a replacement for Andre Onana.
Former Red Devils defender Paul Parker has heavily criticized Onana, branding him “useless,” and believes new United boss Ruben Amorim should look to bring in Hermansen during the summer transfer window.
Parker insists the Danish shot-stopper is the primary reason Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester still have a fighting chance of avoiding relegation, with the Foxes currently five points from safety in 19th place with 11 matches remaining.
“In an ideal world, Manchester United should sign a new goalkeeper to replace Onana. He’s simply not good enough, and honestly, he doesn’t even look like a goalkeeper,” Parker stated.
“For now, I’d give (Altay) Bayindir a chance, but long-term, United should target Mads Hermansen, who has single-handedly kept Leicester’s survival hopes alive this season.
“He has everything—exceptional shot-stopping ability, composure with the ball at his feet, and a commanding presence. As a centre-back, I’d be nervous having him behind me, but in a good way, because he exudes such authority.”
