Rangers Monitoring Motherwell Starlet Lennon Miller Ahead of Potential Summer Move
Rangers have been keeping a close eye on Motherwell’s rising star Lennon Miller in recent months. The 18-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Scottish football and has attracted significant attention with his performances.
Miller has been a regular feature for Motherwell over the past two seasons, showcasing his versatility and maturity beyond his years. With the summer transfer window approaching, speculation is growing that he could be in line for a high-profile move.
Rangers Yet to Make a Move for Miller
Despite their reported interest, Rangers have yet to make a concrete approach for the Scotland U21 international. The youngster has no shortage of admirers, particularly after delivering an impressive display at Ibrox during Motherwell’s recent victory on 1 March.
With the transfer window fast approaching, many believe the Light Blues should act swiftly to secure Miller’s signature. Football pundit Peter Martin has even described the midfielder as “the perfect signing” for Rangers. However, there has been no official movement from Ibrox so far.
Speaking on Clyde One Superscoreboard (4 March), Gordon Dalziel suggested that Miller might opt to stay at Fir Park for the sake of consistent first-team opportunities. He explained:
“Lennon Miller will probably get more chances at Motherwell. They have a strong track record of developing young talent, and he clearly impresses in training.”
Meanwhile, former striker Ross McCormack hinted that Rangers may have already made their decision regarding Miller.
“When Rangers come calling for a young player, they usually go. The fact that they went for Bailey Rice instead of Lennon Miller speaks volumes. They had the option to sign him back then.”
Rangers Should Move Quickly to Secure Miller
As Rangers look to rebuild and close the gap on Celtic, securing the best young talents in Scottish football will be crucial. The club has already shown its intent by securing Lyall Cameron on a pre-contract agreement during the winter transfer window.
A similar approach with Miller could prove invaluable for the Govan side in the years to come. Given the teenager’s standout performances this season, Rangers should put past decisions aside and make a decisive move to bring him to Ibrox before their rivals swoop in.
