Leicester City’s Seagrave academy has been a hotbed for emerging talent in recent years, producing several promising young players.

Ben Nelson and Will Alves are highly regarded, having already represented England at youth level, while Sammy Braybrooke is another player seen as one to watch. Meanwhile, Jake Evans and Louis Page are making an impression in their debut seasons with Leicester’s under-21s.

However, it’s Jeremy Monga who has attracted the most attention, with some of Europe’s biggest clubs keeping a close eye on his progress.

Jeremy Monga Reaches Agreement with Manchester City

Leicester City News understands that teenage sensation Jeremy Monga has agreed to join Manchester City.

The Premier League champions have been monitoring Monga closely in recent months as he continues to shine for Leicester’s under-21s and England’s youth teams. The 15-year-old, who turns 16 this summer, recently captained the England youth side against France, Colombia, and Denmark, scoring in all three matches.

Despite Monga’s willingness to move to the Etihad, Leicester and Man City have yet to finalize a deal. If negotiations stall, a tribunal may be required to determine the transfer terms.

Manchester United and Chelsea Also in the Race

TBR’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey revealed that Manchester United, Chelsea, and Newcastle were among the clubs interested in securing Monga’s signature.

“I understand that a host of clubs wanted Monga – Man United, Chelsea, and Newcastle,” Bailey stated. “German powerhouses RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund were also in the mix.”

While Man City are currently leading the race, there are still hurdles to overcome before the move is finalized.
