According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Rangers are keeping an eye on FCSB’s Darius Olaru as the team looks to add some goals to the middle.

Senior journalist Pete O’Rourke stated on the most recent episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that the Romanian team would require a “decent fee” if they were to entertain a sale.

With 21 appearances across all competitions this season, the 26-year-old has scored 10 goals and given five assists, garnering a lot of attention.

However, since the club’s financial results were made public, Rangers are in no position to be spending a lot of money on any new players.

The Scottish powerhouses’ 2023–24 net losses climbed by £4.1 million to £17.2 million, and they are currently dealing with significant financial difficulties.

Rangers may not have the money to get Darius Olaru.

Olaru is a target going into the January transfer window because the Gers currently lack a goalscoring midfield player in their roster.

Nonetheless, FCSB is in a good negotiation position because the Romanian international’s contract is set to expire in 2028.

Football Insider has been informed by reliable sources that Philippe Clement does not currently have ready-made finances to try to purchase his way out of problems and bolster the team.

Due to a lacklustre start to the season, the Rangers manager is currently facing mounting criticism at Ibrox.

The 50-year-old is only “one match from the sack,” according to Football Insider, since the Light Blues are already nine points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership.
