The Daily Mail claims that Rangers are prepared to make an attempt to recruit Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller in January.

As they await winter proposals from both Old Firm rivals, Motherwell will seek at least £4 million for their star, according to a newspaper article published on November 13.

Liverpool is predicted to enter a possible bidding war for the midfield player, who has been a mainstay for the Well this season and will not accept less than £4 million from the Fir Park club.

Although Motherwell has not received any official communication from Liverpool, Celtic, or the Gers regarding Miller’s availability, Philippe Clement’s team is still anticipated to make a move for the Scotland sensation.

For Rangers, Lennon Miller’s transfer might be revolutionary.

It would be a huge statement to beat off Premier League leaders Liverpool and bitter rivals Celtic to sign Miller in January, especially for a team that has recently been in disarray off the pitch.

The future of Clement may influence the Light Blues’ January transfer strategy and the funding needed to implement it, but if the Belgian stays, it makes sense to go all out to sign Miller.

This season, Connor Barron, who joined from Aberdeen in the summer, and Nico Raskin have been hailed for their relationship at the base of Clement’s midfield, and Miller might be the missing piece.

Miller would make those late dashes into the box to cause all kinds of issues, but the Gers have been chastised this season for their poor attacking play, which has frequently left Cyriel Dessers isolated.

At Ibrox, there are clearly problems both on and off the pitch, but bringing Miller on board—at Celtic’s expense—might be just what the Bears need to get back on track for the championship.
