Leicester City has identified Mostafa Mohamed of FC Nantes as a potential transfer target.
At the very least, according to Africa Foot, Leicester is “looking to sign” him in January.
In July 2022, the striker moved from Galatasaray to the Ligue 1 team on loan, and the following year, he was granted a permanent position.
In 29 league games the previous season, he managed eight goals and two assists. This season, Mohamed has found his playing time restricted; in 10 games, he has played less than 400 minutes and scored one goal.
The Egypt international is said to have “expressed his desire” to leave Nantes during the winter transfer window. He is being considered by the Foxes, who hope to hire him.
Although the frontman’s Nantes contract is set to expire in 2027, they are open to cutting ties with him during the upcoming transfer window. According to the source, the French club would require €10 million in order to approve his sale.
According to Africa Foot’s title, Mohamed is “close” to joining the Premier League. Note that the paper does not provide specific evidence to support this.
