Celtic FC have officially completed the signing of Kieran Tierney, marking a triumphant return for the Scotland international to his boyhood club. The left-back, who came through the Celtic academy and made over 170 appearances before moving to Arsenal in 2019, has rejoined the Hoops in a deal that has sent waves of excitement through the Celtic faithful.

Tierney’s return comes after a mixed spell at Arsenal, including a loan to Real Sociedad, where injuries hampered his ability to establish a consistent run. Now 27, he brings top-level experience and renewed hunger back to Glasgow as Celtic look to dominate domestically and make an impact in Europe.

Speaking to the club’s media, Tierney said: “This is home. I’ve always had Celtic in my heart, and I’m buzzing to be back. I can’t wait to play in front of the fans again and help the team achieve more success.”

Manager Brendan Rodgers expressed delight at the signing, calling Tierney “a leader, a winner, and someone who understands what it means to wear the shirt.”

The move is seen as a major statement of intent from Celtic as they gear up for another title challenge and prepare for Champions League qualification. With Tierney back in green and white, the club has not only regained a fan favourite but also added serious quality and depth to their squad.

Celtic fans will be eagerly anticipating his second debut, as one of their own returns to Parkhead with unfinished business.
