John Higgins has never hidden the fact that he’s a devoted Celtic supporter.

It’s well known that he follows the club passionately, no matter where he is in the world. During his time at the Crucible, Higgins was keeping a close eye on Celtic’s results as they edged closer to another title.

As Celtic needed only a point at Tannadice to secure the league crown, Higgins himself was preparing for a crucial match in his own campaign.

Currently competing in the 2025 World Snooker Championship, Higgins advanced to the quarter-finals and couldn’t resist a playful dig at Rangers after Celtic’s victory over Dundee United clinched the Scottish Premiership.

John Higgins highlights Celtic’s dominance over Rangers Speaking to the BBC during his post-match press conference, Higgins, prompted by Hazel Irvine’s comment about it being a good day for him thanks to Celtic’s title win, responded with a grin, “I think that’s them, what is it, 54 titles ahead of our rivals?”

Laughter broke out as John Parrott chimed in, “I like that dig. You couldn’t help yourself, could you!”

Hazel Irvine, also laughing, corrected him, saying, “Not that you can’t count! I’m hearing it’s 55 – but you’ll take it!”

Celtic chasing even more glory Brendan Rodgers has now claimed his 11th major trophy after guiding Celtic to the title at Dundee United.

With only the Scottish Cup final remaining, a victory over Aberdeen would see Rodgers make history again, becoming the first Celtic manager to complete three domestic trebles.

Meanwhile, James Forrest is set to extend his impressive record, taking his medal tally at the club to 27 as he continues his outstanding career.

With the prospect of more silverware, Celtic fans have plenty to be excited about as the season draws to a thrilling conclusion at Hampden.
